The West Metro Holiday Parade of Lights is one of the most anticipated holiday parades in the Midlands of South Carolina! This beloved night time parade begins at 5:30 pm at the corner of Hwy. 1 & 12th Street in West Columbia and proceeds down 12th Street ending in front of the Cayce Municipal Complex. Crowds have been estimated over 20,000 so come grab yourself a viewing spot early! Bleacher seating available in front of the chamber office.
This year's annual West Metro Holiday Parade of Lights will be broadcast live on the radio as the result of a new partnership with 94.3FM The Dude.

The Dude morning show host Dallas Reese and WIS TV's Joe Pinner will broadcast live from this crowd favorite nighttime parade, with coverage starting as the parade steps off at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 from the corner of Hwy 1 and 12th Street in West Columbia. The collection of lighted floats, vehicles and marching bands then heads down 12th Street, ending in front of the Cayce Municipal Complex. The parade takes about an hour, and Reese & Joe will be live and on the air for the duration.

The parade, produced by the West Metro Chamber of Commerce, is free to enter. To avoid charging an entry fee, the Chamber is seeking parade sponsors to cover any operating costs. The Dude is offering opportunities for local businesses to be the parade's broadcast sponsors.

Those interested in on-air sponsorships should contact Kirk Litton, 803-753-6803, or kirk@hometowncolumbia.com.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to stake their viewing spot, as crowds typically reach 20,000 or more. Bleacher seating will be available in front of the West Metro Chamber office, 1006 12th St., Cayce.

A limited number of entries are available for the nighttime parade; rules and entry information are on the West Metro Chamber of Commerce website.(http://www.westmetroparade.com/) The deadline to enter is Nov. 22.
